The primary distinction between Shallow Vercor and Deep Vercor

Shallow Vercor and Deep Vercor are both metal load-bearing panels used in construction, but they have some significant differences in design and application:

  1. Depth:

– Shallow Vercor is relatively shallow at 9/16″ in depth.

– Deep Vercor is deeper and is typically used where higher load-bearing capacity and longer spans are required.

  1. Purpose:

– Shallow Vercor is often used for light applications such as poured concrete, sidewall panels or roof panels, suitable for areas that do not require high load-bearing capacity.

– Deep Vercor is suitable for areas with larger spans, provides higher strength, and is suitable for projects that require stronger load-bearing capacity.

  1. Load-bearing capacity:

– Shallow Vercor is lighter, economical and easy to install, but has limited load-bearing capacity.

– Deep Vercor has higher strength and greater load-bearing capacity due to its greater depth, and can cover longer spans.

  1. Limitations of use:

– Neither is a composite metal flooring system and cannot be used as a composite floor slab.

  1. Thickness and Finish:

– Shallow Vercor is typically stocked in 22 gauge thickness with a galvanized G90 coating for corrosion resistance.

– Deep Vercor may have a wider selection of thicknesses and coatings to suit more demanding applications.

Floor decking plays a critical role in construction, providing a structural surface for floors that can support heavy loads and withstand various environmental conditions. There are several types of floor decking materials and systems, each with its unique characteristics and applications. Here are some common types of floor decking roll forming machines :

1.Shallow Vercor Description

  • Deck Type: Form Decking
  • Panel Type:Shallow Vercor
  • Available Gauges: 26, 24, 22, 20
  • Rib Height:9/16″
  • Rib Distance (Pitch): 3″ Pitch
  • Available Lengths: 12′-6″ to 20′-6″
  • Width: 36″

Shallow Vercor is a non-composite form deck with a depth of 9/16″. It is available in stock at a 22-gauge thickness with a galvanized G90 coating. This form deck is lightweight, durable, cost-effective, and simple to install. It can be used as a metal form deck for concrete pouring, as well as for siding or roofing applications. However, it is not suitable for use as a composite metal floor decking system.

2.Deep Vercor Description

  • Deck Type:Form Decking
  • Panel Type: Deep Vercor
  • Available Gauges: 26, 24, 22, 20
  • Rib Height: 1 5/16″
  • Rib Distance (Pitch): 4 1/2″ Pitch
  • Available Lengths: 20′-6″ to 30′-6″
  • Width: 36″

Deep Vercor form deck offers greater strength compared to Shallow Vercor and is suitable for longer spans. It is commonly utilized as a steel form deck for pouring concrete, as well as for applications like siding and roofing. However, it is important to note that it is not intended to function as a composite metal floor deck system.

In general, Shallow Vercor is suitable for light duty applications, while Deep Vercor is better suited for larger and heavier construction needs due to its strength and span capabilities.
