Angle bead is commonly used where walls meet walls or ceilings, over inner angles of masonry construction, and when using the floating-angle-method of applying gypsum lath to wood framing in order to reduce plaster cracking.

Angle bead reinforcing angle should be tied to the base lath using 18-gauge tie wire. It should not be attached directly to the support framing but allowed to float in the corner. Available in 2″ x 2″ (4′ and 8′ lengths), and 3″ x 3″ (8′ length only).

###Reinforcing Angle

Angle bead a non-structural corner angle, is designed to connect, reinforce, or secure metal stud framing in various drywall applications. It should be fastened to the base lath using 18-gauge tie wire, ensuring it is not directly attached to the support framing. Angle bead comes in standard sizes of 2 inches by 2 inches, available in 4-foot and 8-foot lengths, as well as a 3-inch by 3-inch size, exclusively in an 8-foot length.
