Description of F5M Drip Edge Roll Forming Machine

Protects and covers roof edge. Directs run-off into gutters. For new construction and re roofs. Used along gutter line of roof edge. Acts as a starter strip for a true edge to align shingles. The face, with its kick-out at the bottom, diverts rain water from the facia board helping to eliminate rot. Standard gauge. 5/8″ overhang, throw out included in face size. 2-1/3″ X 10′ – 1-1/2″ FACE.

• Width: 2 3/4″, available in varying sizes up to at least 6″ to cover gaps and ensure sufficient nailing surface on the roof deck.
• Height (Depth): 1 5/8″, with options available in a wide range of dimensions extending up to several inches.
• Lip Extension (Drip Leg): 1/2″, with sizes ranging from 1″ to 2″.
• Recommended Drainage Gap: Approximately 1/4″, spaced from the fascia board.
• Minimum Extension on Roof Decking: 2″ (per IRC R905).
• Minimum End Laps: 4″, offset by at least 6 ft.
• Fastening Interval: Every 12″.
• Typical Metal Thickness: Steel options include 0.010″ and 0.013″; aluminum options range from 0.012″ to 0.024″.
